The designs can be applied and removed quickly and easily. Whether as a deco element or as a complete wall concept, wall designs can be used to decorate not only your living room, bedroom, nursery, kitchen and bathroom but also your office and workplace. A wall design is not just a wall sticker. Instead, it looks as if it has actually been tattooed to the wall. Unlike wall stickers, wall designs adhere to the surface of the wall (e.g. fine ingrain wallpaper or smooth plaster) like a second skin. To get this result, we use none other than quality vinyls such as Oracal manufactured especially for wall designs. These adhesive vinyls are made of a very soft, thin material with a silky matt surface. The edges of our wall designs are cut with great precision, which means they have no transparent edge or background. Unlike wall stickers, our wall designs are manufactured individually and not stored as bulk goods.

A wall design has to undergo a lengthy development process before you can apply it to your wall. A wall design is made up of three parts and is sandwiched between a carrier sheet and a transfer sheet (transfer tape). Our design team starts by gathering ideas for a new wall design. Once the best idea has been agreed upon, a draft is made and amended by us until it looks exactly like we want it to. During the next stage a digital image of the finished design is created (vectored), transferred to vinyl using a digital printing process and then cut out (plotted). The design is cut out using a cutting plotter, with which the edges of the motif can be cut into the foil without damaging the carrier paper. The next part of the process is done by hand. The surplus vinyl is slowly and carefully removed by hand (weeded). This requires a lot of dexterity and care to make sure that the design is not torn during the process. Only now do the edges of the design become visible. Finally, a transparent transfer sheet is placed over the design and rubbed firmly in place using a squeegee or credit card. The transfer tape makes it possible for you to apply the design to the wall in one piece. The wall tattoo can now be rolled up, packed in a sturdy box and sent directly to you.

Our wall tattoos adhere to almost all surfaces. They are ideal for fine, medium grain, and smooth wallpapers as well as for tiles, glass, wood, smooth plaster and plastic. No special expertise is needed to apply these inexpensive adhesive wall motifs or texts and remove them as needed without leaving any traces. Please ensure that any dust or dirt is removed from the surface. Freshly painted walls should dry for at least 10 days before applying a wall design. You can use a piece of transparent tape to test if your surface is suitable for a wall design. If you are still unsure, you can request a free test motif before placing your order.

We use only quality vinyl manufactured especially for wall designs; these are made of a very thin, flexible material. Our wall designs are therefore ideal for fine and medium grain wallpapers. However, we cannot guarantee that our wall designs will adhere to coarse grain wallpapers in the long term. You can use a piece of clear tape to test whether your surface is suitable for a wall tattoo. If you are still not sure, you can request a free test design before placing your order.

A squeegee is a flat object used to remove air bubbles, to rub the transparent transfer tape onto the design and afterwards to apply it to the wall. You will find more detailed information about applying your wall tattoo in our guide.

Yes, you can cut out each part of your wall tattoo before use and apply them to the wall as you like. In this way, you can position separate objects any way you wish or change the distance between them. To make things easier, we recommend you use a level and a pencil to make markings on your wall, a squeegee to help you apply the tattoo (available in our shop) and a cloth. Before placing your order, please take plenty of time to think about the design you want and about the size and color. Our products are not produced and stored in bulk; they are manufactured to order once we have received your request and specifications. We therefore regret that wall tattoos cannot be returned or exchanged. If you have any questions, doubts or comments, please get in touch with us using our contact form. You can choose whichever alignment of your wall design you that you like. "As pictured" means that your wall design will look the same as in the preview photo. "Mirror image" means that your design will be laterally reversed or facing the opposite direction.

No, a wall design can only be used once.

A bit of dust or dirt on your wall design is not a problem. Our wall designs are water-repellent and can therefore be cleaned using a damp cloth.

Unlike traditional painted or tattooed designs, you can remove your wall design quickly and easily without leaving any traces. Just pull the vinyl carefully off the wall. It may be a little more difficult to remove the vinyl from smooth surfaces; if so, just warm the design slightly with a hairdryer and it will quickly become detached from the wall. Please note that the paint on your wall fades over time. You may find that a darker patch remains once you have removed the wall design.

Of course you can! Our wall designs make ideal gifts. Choose a wall design and surprise the recipient with an original design or text for their wall. Postage and shipping will be charged only once and no additional fees will be incurred by you. Ground shipments are made throughout the U.S. at a fixed rate of just $8.95. If your order is worth $65 or more, we will deliver it anywhere in the U.S. free of charge. This offer does not apply if the net amount of an order is lower than $65 after any coupon or discount has been applied. Other conditions apply to Canada and Mexico. You may change your order within 24 hours after placing it free of charge. After this time, a fee of $14.95 will be applied since the vinyl used to produce it will already have begun processing. Please contact us by phone or send us an email to service@wallspirit.com to request any changes.

When you register, we only record the data needed to process your order (name and address for delivery and invoicing, telephone number for questions or concerns, e-mail address for opening an account and receiving order confirmations).
